If this is the first time you are signing into your REF account, please follow the guidance for signing in for the first time.

This guidance takes you through how to sign into your REF 2029 account.

We highly recommend using an Incognito or Private window to do any REF-related work.

If you have any problems with this process, we recommend closing your browser window and starting again with a new Incognito or Private browser window. If the issues persist contact usersupport@ref.ac.uk.

Copy and paste the link we have sent you into an Incognito or Private browser window [link to the private window guidance] This Sign in box will appear Enter your REF email address, (we have sent you an email with these details) Click on Next
Enter your password Click on Sign in If you have forgotten your password, click on Forgot my password and follow the Reset password guidance.
You will now be prompted to use an authenticator app, or a text/WhatsApp message to identify yourself What you see will depend on the method you chose to verify your identity, (when you first signed in to your account) In this example you need to click on the grey bar to send the text message to your phone Follow the instructions on screen to authenticate yourself
You are now signed into your REF account
