We are running a series of four drop-in sessions to answer your questions about how to use the REF Hub. Each session is the same format, so you only need to join one.
You'll find invitations to each session in your email inbox.
To join a session you'll need to sign in to the REF Hub and join the session online from your REF Teams calendar.
Monday 27 October - 3 to 4
Wednesday 29 October - 1 to 2
Tuesday 4 November - 11 to 12
Thursday 6 November - 2 to 3
The sessions will be hosted by David Vriend-Lapping, who runs the IT support desk for the REF, and Heather Stockwell, who writes the systems guidance.
There is no set topic for the sessions, and you can join at any time during the hour. Come along with your question(s) and we'll answer as many as we can.
This is the current position on the following areas, and we won't be able to provide any further information on these in the session:
- Online working - how the system is structured
- Working overseas on REF work - we are working on a process, and we will publish this soon
- Daily digest - we are working on a way to send a daily summary to your organisation email to let you know when you've received REF emails. We are expecting to launch this in the new year.
Here are links to guidance on some of the common questions we're asked:
- Join a Teams meeting - to join any REF meeting, you must sign in to the REF Hub. We recommend using the link in your REF Teams calendar to join the meeting and you need to join the meeting online.
- Copy a document across to your OneDrive/My Files folder
- Using the REF Hub on a Mac
